1949年后周作人散文多为"不切题"的"短文章",从"风格"角度看,更趋于"冷",淡化情感,生成一种特殊的"距离",既近又远,既亲且疏,与"回想录"式散文相得益彰。此种"距离"在1950—70年代的中国文学中是非常独特的存在,本文尝试解析其背后隐藏的原因。周作人的努力或难说成功,但悲观、怀疑的心态,生死两难的"回想",却让周氏的"另类"书写成为1950—70年代中国文学最好的文字之一。

Many of Zhou Zuoren＇s prose after 1949 are ＂short＂ essays that are ＂irrelevant to the subjects＂, and tend to be more ＂tranquillity of mind＂ in terms of style, which dilutes emotions and generates a special kind of ＂distance＂ that is so far and so near, and so intimating and alienating. It suits the prose of ＂reminiscences＂. This ＂distance＂ is a very unique feature for Chinese literature in 1950s-1970s. This paper tries to analyze the reason behind it. Zhou Zuoren＇ s efforts are probably hard to say successful, but the pessimistic and doubtful mentalities and ＂reminiscences＂ of the life and death dilemma, make Zhou＇ s writing unique in Chinese literature of 1950s-1970s.
