In Sula, two black male characters seek their identity reconstruction through their relation with black females, which is of no possibility in the white-centered American society. With the aid of post-colonialism,the analysis of two typical black males demonstrates that the issue for the entire black males does not merely rest in the relationship between men and women, but more significantly,it is a rooted cultural disease whose remedy requires a thorough subvert.
