The Past 35 Years of the Research on Taiwan Literature （1979-2013） by Cao Huimin and Si Fangwei is the current great achievement in the literary researches of Taiwan, Hongkong, and Macao, whose value is mainly re-flected in the following two aspects ： it is the first time for China Mainland to summarize the research of Taiwan litera-ture in the past 35 years and the complex re-research in all directions ; the book proves the existence of the new sub-ject, Taiwan and Hongkong Overseas Chinese Literature, which is the essential component of Chinese Literature.
