On Language Transfer and Its Effects upon the Teaching of College English Reading

在大学英语阅读教学过程中会出现语言迁移的问题,语言迁移是影响英语教学的重要因素之一。文中对语言迁移的各种影响因素、内涵、特征以及本质进行了综述,并提出提供更多语言信息资源、有效使用语言信息资源、激发学生阅读兴趣等解决语言迁移问题的策略。

Language transfer is believed to be one of the important factors influencing English teaching and will certainly occur in the teaching of college English reading. Based on a review on influencing factors,connotations,characteristics and nature of language transfer,the paper recommended some solutions like providing more linguistic information,using linguistic resources effectively and stimulating students interest in reading,etc.
