刘震云的小说具有作者鲜明的反讽叙述的特点,作者同时也注重话语嬗变的方法,比较注重时代、人物以及精神方面的异化。他的小说不仅有倒序也有插叙,注重将过去与现在进行对比,还包含着种种关于个体在生活中存在的有关生存的迷茫以及对后现代的深入思考。刘震云小说中的反讽叙事风格大部分体现在在言语反讽、情境反讽和性格反讽等内容上,并且它还包含着其特有的审美特点,在叙述故事时,作者看似使用了冷静客观的讲述方法,但是实际上包含着主要的批评和反思的特点,也包含着对于自己刻画的人物的关心和同情,这一点也体现出作者的平民的创作视角。

In his novels,Liu Zhenyun＇s pays much attention to the alienation of time,characters and spirit through varied discourse in his ironical narration including flashbacks and interspersion as well as comparisons between the past and present,showing individual＇s confusion with existence and the author＇s reflections upon the postmodern times. Such a narrating style is mostly mirrored by the ironies through speeches,contexts and personal disposition,etc. with special aesthetic feeling. His seemingly emotionless and objective narration often contains his criticism and reflection as well as sympathy for his protagonists,which also indicates his standpoint as a writer for ordinary people.
