On the Influences of Zhu Xi's Neo-confucianism upon Fujian's Folk Culture

朱熹以"兴办教育,以礼导民,以理教化"的理学教育观念,移风易俗,使理学思想对福建的民风民俗产生直接而深刻的影响;福建民间盛传的关于朱熹的诸多故事体现出理学思想,使得理学尊师重教的风尚在福建蔚然成风;福建所保留的许多与朱熹有关的民间传统习俗及其所传达出的理学观念,是朱子理学思想的重要内容,也是传统文化的组成部分,其已成为闽文化、福建民间文化的重要遗产和宝贵资源,值得传承和发扬。

Many stories and folk customs about Zhu Xi popular in Fujian reflects the influences of his neoconfucianist ideas on education,represented by guiding people with courtesies and educating people with a universal principle,upon the folk culture of the province. As a result,it can be found that there is a tendency of respecting teachers and education among people in Fujian. These folk customs,together with the neo-confucianist ideas behind themselves,are an important part of Zhu Xi ＇ s thoughts and traditional Chinese culture,and have already become significant cultural legacy and valuable resources of Fujian.
