巨变与定型:经济地理格局中的城市能级与层级态势研究

Great Changes and Stereotypes: A Study on Urban Energy Levels and Hierarchy in the Economic Geography Situation

当前,中国城市经济地理格局正处于前所未有的巨变中。这种巨变体现在两个层面:一是城市的能级不断跃升,二是城市的层级基本定型。能级跃升与层级定型的矛盾,是当代中国城市经济地理格局中的客观现实。这意味着,对于雄心勃勃的强二线城市来说,能级继续跃升的空间依然很大,但想在层级上与一线城市比肩,几无可能。故,对强二线城市来说,更好的选择是尊重近40年改革开放所形成的城市层级秩序,把方向与精力放在提升城市能级上。

Nowadays, the urban economic geography of China is undergoing unprecedented changes. This change is reflected on two dimensions： first, city＇s energy levels are constantly rising; second, city＇s hierarchy is basically stereotyped. The contradiction between the jumps of energy levels and the formation of hierarchy is the objective reality of the urban economic geog- raphy in contemporary China. It means for ambitiously strong second-tier cities, the improve- ment space in terms of energy level is still great, but it is impossible to compare with those first- tier cities. Therefore, for them, the better choice is to respect the urban level order formed by the reform and opening up during the past four decades and turn their focus and energy on upgrad- ing the urban energy level.
