摘要
自1989年至今,残雪小说在美国一直保持译介,获得了不少国外媒体的关注以及各大文学奖项的青睐。较于在国内文学界的相对边缘地位,残雪在国外构建了较为瞩目的文学声誉。本文援引卡萨诺瓦世界文学模式中"资本"、"场域"、"文学神圣化"等相关概念探究残雪作为一名被主导文学场域中的边缘作家如何通过翻译得以在主导文学场域中获得一定的文学席位。结合切斯特曼的"翻译规范"以及勒菲弗尔的"诗学"与"意识形态"等翻译理论分析工具,本文采用描述性和探索性研究模式,探讨各译介主体如何共同促成残雪在美国的"神圣化",揭示隐藏在残雪小说译介背后的各种影响机制,强调世界文学传播模式下译介主体的重要性,希望能为中国当代文学英译提供一定参考。
Can Xue has kept a constant publishing profile since 1989, with many of her works vigorously translated and reviewed in America. This paper adopts the three theoretical concepts: "capital", "field" and "literary consecration" in Casanova' s world literature model to sketch a general framework for the re- ception of Can Xue in America. In combination with other analytical tools such as Andrew Chesterman' s "translation norms" and Andre Levefere' s "poetics" and "ideology" in translation studies, this paper in- vestigates how Can Xue is consecrated through the negotiation between a networking of agents and the dominating literary field with the aim of providing new insights for the English translation of contemporary Chinese literature.
