In the early days, reading means reading loudly, characterized by sound and interaction. And it is a multi -dimensional reading method which visual and auditory reading perform simultaneously. With the progress of technology and the change of people＇ s needs, visual reading and auditory reading began to differentiate. Visual read- ing has taken up a prominent position all the time while auditory reading is of less importance. Auditory reading began to gain rapid development until recent years. Based on the comparative analysis of visual and auditory reading, the paper summarizes the advantages of auditory reading.
