In this paper, an excellent foreign physical chemistry textbook ＂Atkins＇ Physical Chernistry＂ was introduced and its main content and editorial system were analyzed in detail. Through comparison between this book and the classical physical chemistry textbook complied by our country, the outstanding features of this book are emphasized and enlightenments can he obtained. We believe the introduction of this foreign textbook can serve a beneficial and reasonable reference for the construction and perfection of our domestic physical chemistry textbook.
