摘要
本文对促红细胞生成素(EPO)的生理特性,糖尿病性视网膜病变(DR)的进展,EPO及其受体在视网膜内的表达,视网膜是EPO作用的新位点及EPO干预DR的机制进行简述。得出EPO的神经保护特性,防止糖尿病视网膜微血管损伤的作用,保护RPE细胞屏障功能都是推进EPO及EPO受体作为治疗早期DR的新型治疗靶点的重要原因。EPO对早期DR的保护作用可成为治疗早期DR的契机,而深入研究在EPO基础上设计的小肽段可为DR的治疗带来希望。
This paper reviews the physiological characteristics of erythropoietin(EPO),progression of diabetic retinopathy(DR),expression of EPO and its receptor in retina(a new site of EPO action),and intervention mechanism of EPO for DR.The protective effect of EPO on nerves,retinal microvessels and PRE cell barriers is an important reason for advancing EPO and its receptors as a new therapeutic target for early DR,which presents an opportunity to treat early DR.Further research on the small peptide segments designed on the basis of EPO may provide new hope for the treatment of DR.
