乔治·斯坦纳阐释学视角下的译者主体性——以葛浩文译《红高粱家族》为例

On the Translator's Subjectivity from the Perspective of George Steiner's Hermeneutics——A Case Study of Howard Goldblatt's Translation of Red Sorghum

翻译作为一种跨文化的社会交际行为使不同语言文化中的群体交流成为可能,在翻译过程中,要想使得原作中的文化特色和所隐藏的含义淋漓尽致地展示出来,这就需要发挥译者的主体性,而乔治·斯坦纳的阐释学四步骤无不蕴藏着译者主体性的特征。以此为理论基础研究葛浩文在《红高粱家族》的翻译过程中是如何施展译者的主体性作用,有助于译者在翻译中国文学的过程中充分发挥其主体性作用,更好地推动中国文学"走出去"。

Translation,as a cross-cultural social communication behavior,makes it possible to communicate groups in different languages and cultures.In the process of translation,it is necessary for the translator to show his or her subjectivity about how to completely reveal the cultural characteristics and hidden meaning in the original works.George Steiner's Hermeneutics contains all the characteristics of the translator's subjectivity.Based on this theory,this study analyzes how Hoard Goldblatt casts the translator's subjective role in his translation of Red Sorghum Family,which helps translators to develop their subjectivities in the process of translation of Chinese literature and promotes Chinese literature coming into the world.
