大型机构术语管理的方法和意义——以欧盟IATE术语库为例

Methods and Significances of Institutional Terminology Management: Case Study of IATE Termbase

在全球化时代,如何保证术语传播和使用的一致性和准确性是一个需要解决的问题。长期以来,大型机构如欧盟、联合国等面临着多语言术语使用与管理的问题,也在实践中积累了不少成功经验。文章梳理了欧盟IATE术语库的设计、术语来源与可靠性、功能、管理与审核等内容,结合使用及学习经验探讨了其存在的不足,以期为中国术语管理机构与相关领域提供借鉴。

In the time of globalization,how to ensure the consistency and accuracy of terminology in use is a problem that is worth our attention. For a long period,international institutions such as the European Union（ EU） and United Nations（ UN） have been facing the problems of multilingual terminology use and management. Meanwhile,these institutions have also gathered some successful experience. Based on reviewing the design,source,reliability,function,management and approval process as well as shortcomings of IATE,Inter-Active Terminology for Europe,we provide some suggestions for the terminology management institution and related fields in China.
