摘要
谢尔曼·阿莱克西的少年小说《飞逸》《一个印第安少年的超真实日记》打破了传统的"归家"式印第安写作策略。这两部小说分别刻画了少年主人公青春痘、阿诺的成长磨难和处于青春期的少年心理变化历程。作者采取互文对话的多元叙事策略以及多元交织的对话模式,通过对性的直白描写以及相片意象的运用,以及故事本身充满魔幻色彩的穿越情节、文本交织着漫画等写作模式极大地丰富了小说的内涵和审美价值。其核心是围绕少年主体身份多向度建构展开,从自我接受到政治身份的建构。这两部少年小说从思想内容上突破了阶级种族的限制界域,体现了作者宽广的人文关怀,是族裔文学创作及研究的新方向。
Sherman Alexie's Fight and The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian have revised the Indian's traditional " homecoming pattern" writing strategy.The two novels respectively depict young adult protagonists Zits and Arnold and their initiation obstacles and adolescent psychological changes.The author applies the multiple narrative strategies of intertextual dialogues and multiple interwoven dialogue patterns.This writing mode,which includes direct description of sex,employment of photo image,plots of hallucinatory time travel and text mingled with caricatures,has enriched the novels and aesthetic values.The essence of the novels develops in accordance with the adolescents' multidimensional identity construction,from self acceptance to political identity construction.Meanwhile,the novels encourage young readers to participate in reading and reflection.In a word,those two novels have broken race and class boundary,reflected the authors' broad humanities concern and started a new direction of ethnic literature creation and research.
