不同历史时期的教育价值取向、教育诉求有所不同。革命根据地时期因国内外政治环境的改变,中国共产党及时调整根据地的教育方针、政策。根据地小学语文教科书编写与党的教育方针、政策密不可分。中国共产党为自身政权建设的需要,为推动教育事业的发展,从特定历史时期的实际情况出发,制定相应的教育方针、政策,使其价值取向留下难以磨灭的痕迹,即中央苏区时期的"苏区政治""苏区生活",抗战前期的"抗日政治""学生生活",抗战后期的"教育本土化",解放战争时期的"内战政治""生产劳动"等。探索、研究革命根据地时期小学语文教科书教育价值取向,对当今小学语文教材的编写具有借鉴和启迪价值。
