封建帝制社会中,帝王的后宫中禁锢着不计其数的风华正茂的女子,她们或深明大义或野心勃勃或出身高贵或下场凄凉。这其中或许有她们自己的原因,但更多的却是由于时代和社会的双重逼迫所造成的。作为女性至尊地位的皇后也依旧是帝王的从属,在政治上和社会上同样受到限制。作为后宫之主,帝王之妻的皇后或多或少会参与到政治生活之中,在这一时期留下了不可磨灭的痕迹。
