当代美国华人竞选影响因素——基于可持续性的分析

The Factors on Election Campaign of Modern Chinese-American——based on the Analyses of Sustainability

进入21世纪以来,华人参与公职竞选的人数逐年增加,成功率亦有提升,特别是在联邦、州和基层各公职待选职位多的中期选举中,华人旧辈和新秀都展现进取姿态。华人竞选是政治参与的常态方式和研究华人政治参与的重要向度。美国华人在郡市、州和联邦三个层面都有参与议员、市长、主审计长等公职的竞选,但华人在未来的竞选中还有很大的发展空间。而这需要华人克服社会政治环境不利的因素,在竞选主张上紧扣选民投票意愿与政治立场,以及努力提升华人政治素养和才能,组建人才储备库,以此维持华人竞选良好发展态势,进而有益于提升华人社会政治地位。

The number of Chinese-American who run for offices has been increased since the 21st Century, and the success rate has been raises. In the mid-term elections in local community, city and federal government, the young and old generation of Chinese-American are more aggressive. Participating in the election campaign is a normal manner of political participation, which is the important dimensions of researches on Chinese political participation. Chinese-American had participated in the election for congressman, major and comptroller general in city, state and federal government, but there is still more for Chinese-American in the future election. This re- quires Chinese-American to conquer the negative social political factors, closely connect with the voter＇s will and political standpoint, enhance political literacy and built up talent band to maintain the good tendency of ChineseAmerican in the election, thus it could help to promote the social and political status of Chinese-American.
