The development history of Chinese cosmetic industry has been reviewed. The diversification of sales channels for Chinese cosmetic industry has created opportunities for the rise of local cosmetic brands. The department stores, supermarkets and cosmetic stores have flourished. At the same time, e-commerce has endowed the sales channels of cosmetics with the benefit of science and technology. Finally, the future development of channels for Chinese cosmetic industry has been prospected.
