This paper presents the implementation methods of transmission line plan and profile drawings converting software from PowerTL format to PLS - CADD format. The methods can be used to help survey engineers use PLS - CADD and develop correspond- ing conversion interface. At the same time, combining with the specific transmission line engineering application abroad, this paper emphasizes some important problems in the application and carries on the beneficial exploration on getting optimal utility by using civil software and PLS - CADD.
