On Du Mu's Experience of Lang Guan and His Poetry Creation

晚唐诗人杜牧曾五次担任郎官,这在唐代诗坛是绝无仅有的。唐代诗人担任郎官现象比较突出,但多数人在郎官任上得到提拔,而杜牧十年之间从膳部员外郎到吏部员外郎,职级不动。杜牧的职官角色在郎官与刺史之间转变,五任郎官,四任刺史。长期的宦海生涯对他的思想与创作产生了较大的影响,由早期的壮志情怀逐渐转变为看淡仕途,甚至生发出退隐的思想。与此相应,其诗文创作的体裁与题材都有明显的变化,反映了他的真实心态。

It is an exclusive example to be Lang Guan for five times for Du Mu,apoet in late Tang Dynasty.A prominent phenomenon for poets to be Lang Guan in Tang Dynasty,most of them were promoted whereas Du was kept in minor office as ministry between Dining and Personnel for ten years.Du transferred between Lang Guan and feudal provincial,five times for the former and four times for the latter respectively,which has a reasonable impact on his thoughts and creation,from ambitious to discourageous and even reclusive.Apparent change in style and subject matter during poem creation reflect Du＇s real mentality.
