现代社会下的自我压迫机制使流散者产生了"局外化"和"边缘化"无所皈依的状态。阿富汗裔美国作家胡赛尼同样焦灼于文化差异带来的心灵错位与困惑。在其小说《群山回唱》中,他试图通过对"他者"的形象刻画和复杂情怀的抒写,进一步探讨民族血缘和文化归属问题,以期在"寻根"途中找寻心灵的原乡。

The worldwide modernization brought the oppression situation caused by the'outsider'and'marginalization'. As a Afghan American writer, Khaled Hosseini was puzzled with dislocation and confusion by cultural differences. In And The Mountains Echoed,the writer exposes the complicated emotion which has no place to follow with the sharp and gentle way. Besides, the vulgar ethnic identityand marginal cultural status which prompts him to think of ethnic blood and cultural attribution in order to find the spiritual homeland during the'root-seeking'journey.
