店宅务是宋代官方房屋管理机构,负责官屋及邸店的计值出租和营修。店宅务始设于北宋初年,初名楼店务,除都城东京外,其他府州也陆续设置。东京楼店务经多次变革,后定名为左右厢店宅务,其他地区仍沿用楼店务之名。店宅务设置的原因是多层次的,不仅有经济原因,还有政治的考虑、风气的推动。为保证店宅务的有效运作,宋政府对店宅务官员进行合理配置并严格管理。店宅务作为宋代国家管理机构的一部分,在盈利之外,还要照顾到社会经济、民生等方面,在一定程度上发挥了市场调节与社会保障的作用。
