On the Concept and Basic Features of Religious Extremism——Also on the relation between religious extremism and cult

进入21世纪以来,宗教极端主义思潮空前发展,并与民族分裂主义和恐怖主义相结合,成为当前威胁国际和国内安全的重要因素。宗教极端主义是宗教发展到一定程度后的异化和蜕变,其已经脱离了宗教的范畴,成为了纯粹的政治问题。宗教极端主义具有政治性、暴力恐怖性、排他性和欺骗性等基本特征。宗教极端主义和邪教都与宗教有关,但又不是宗教,他们都是宗教异化的产物,其最大的不同就在于宗教极端主义具有强烈的政治性,而邪教往往以欺诈为手段、以敛财为目的。

Since 21 st Century,religious extremism has developed unprecedentedly and combined with the national separatism and terrorism,which has become an important factor threatening the current international and domestic security.Religious extremism is the alienation and transformation of the religion developing into a certain degree,which has already separated from the scope of religion,and become a purely political issue.Religious extremism has the basic characteristics of politics,violence,terrorism,exclusion and deception.Religious extremism and cult are both related to religion,but not religion.They are products of religious alienation.The biggest difference between them is that religious extremism has strong political character,but the cult tend to collect money with a means of fraud.
