College teaching method is constantly updated under the environment of informatization education. Flipped classroom teaching mode, as a new teaching mode, by the attention of the domestic and overseas scholars. This paper reviews the development process of flipped classroom teaching mode. Combined with the domestic independent college students＇ characteristics and current situation of college English teaching elaborate theoretical foundation and practical advantages of flipped classroom teaching model, and then, looking forward flip the classroom teaching model＇s future.
