摘要
《永别了,武器》是海明威的战争三部曲之一,以战争与爱情为双重线索,描写了战争中无处隐匿的死亡意识以及主人公亨利和凯瑟琳的爱情悲剧。故事的主题提炼、形象设定、结构安排和悲剧结局等都渗透着对死亡意识的阐释、对悲剧命运的反抗和对人类精神生存状态的担忧。故事的悲剧叙事是对战争时代悲剧现实的审美把握,体现了创作者的悲剧精神,促使我们更深刻地思考悲剧产生的根源,叙述悲剧带来的苦痛,探索人类文明的救赎之路,从而领会作品的艺术性与历史性的辩证统一。
Farewell to Arms is one of Hemingway’s three war trilogies with war and love for the double clues. It’s about the consciousness of death hidden in the war and the love tragedy between Henry and Catherine. The theme of the story,the image,the structure and the tragic outcome are permeated with the interpretation of the sense of death,the resistance of the tragedy fate and the concern of the human spirit. The tragic narration in the story,reflecting the creator’s tragic spirit,is an aesthetic grasp of the tragic reality in the era of war. The story makes us think more deeply on the root of tragedy and the pain it brings,then explore the way of salvation of the human civilization,so as to understand the dialectical unity of literary works between art and history.
