情绪智力的客观存在直接影响着人的人格特性以及相应地价值选择，健康的情绪品质和行为习惯是高尚道德情操形成的源泉。思想政治教育不能脱离人的思想实际，即人的情绪的产生的根源、变化的动力等，提高大学生的思想道德素质，情商培育是不可缺失的一部分。情商培育引入到思想政治教育活动实践中，有利于促进思想政治教育的内涵式创新发展，同时，思想政治教育也可以优化情商培育的发展方向、培养过程及路径。
