Black queen cell disease is one of the honeybee diseases that is caused by black queen cell virus (BQCV), which is spread around the world at present. In this paper, some apiaries of seventeen cities in Shandong province was chosen to perform sampling inspection analysis to detect the carrying situation of BQCV in the honeybee of Shandong province, and the selected samples were carried out preliminary rapid pathogen detection by reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) for the first time. The results showed that the honeybee from thirteen apiaries of seven cities was detected carrying BQCV in sixty-two apiaries of seventeen cities in Shandong province. The detection rate was 4.769%. Furthermore, we provide five possible measures to prevent black queen cell disease in this study through combining investigation situation and detection result. We hope that the findings in this paper can provide a reference for the effective prevention of black queen cell disease in Shandong province.
