城市化对中国制造业出口技术复杂度影响的实证分析

An Empirical Analysis of the Impact of Urbanization to China's Export Technological Sophistication of Manufacture

本文运用2002-2014年分省HS码贸易数据,采用Hausmann人均GDP法测算各省份的制造业出口技术复杂度,并研究城市化进程对制造业出口技术复杂的影响。测算结果表明中国制造业出口技术复杂度得到了突飞猛进的提升,数值上呈现由东向西逐渐递减的趋势,而增幅趋势则相反;实证结果表明城市化进程对制造业出口技术复杂度升级具有显著的促进作用,其影响系数由东向西逐渐上升。为此,可适当加快中国城市化建设,以促进制造业出口技术复杂度的快速提升。

This paper estimates the export technological sophistication of manufacture in China＇s 31 provinces by using HS digital trade data from 2002-2014 and the methods developed by Hausmann（2007）, and discusses the link between urbanization progress and export technological sophistication. The results show that China＇s export technological sophistication of manufacture has been upgraded highly in recent year, and the numerical trend from east to west is decreasing while the trend in amplification is increasing. And the urbanization plays a significant positive role in the upgrading of export technological sophistication of manufacture, and the influence coefficient is gradually increased from east to west. For the reason, China should speed up the pace of urbanization appropriately to promote the export technological sophistication, and ultimately promote the transformation and optimization of foreign trade development.
