中医药防治癫痫的研究进展

Research Progress in Traditional Chinese Medicines for the Therapy of Epilepsy

癫痫是一种常见的慢性脑功能失调疾病,其发病机制主要与离子通道和遗传、神经递质、细胞因子及免疫、神经胶质细胞等关系密切。近年来中医药在防治癫痫方面取得了良好成果。本文对近10年中药及其与西药联用防治癫痫的研究现况进行了系统综述。结果表明,中药治疗癫痫临床疗效确切,其作用机制涉及神经元保护和神经递质、离子通道及相关基因的调控等环节;中西药联合使用有提高疗效及减轻西药不良反应的作用。

Epilepsy is a chronic disorder of brain, whose pathogenesis is closely related to ion channel, heredity, neurotransmitters, cytokine, immunity and neuroglia cells, etc. Traditional Chinese medicines （TCMs） have made achievements in the treatment of epilepsy in recent years. The paper systematically reviewed the research situations of TCM and the combination of TCM and western medicines for the prevention and therapy of epilepsy in recent ten years. The results indicated that TCMs showed notable curative effect on epilepsy, and the pathogenesis was closely related to neuroprotection, neurotransmitters, ion channel, and relevant gene regulation, etc. The combination of TCM and western medicines can enhance the efficacy and reduce the toxicity in the treatment of epilepsy.
