《左传》风雅醇厚,承载着历史文化的记忆,还富含珍贵的民俗史料。系统梳理《左传》所记载的周朝及各诸侯国的婚姻史实,可以还原出春秋时期的各类婚姻习俗,诸如:婚姻的"六礼"程序,婚前婚后习俗,同姓不婚、媵妾、烝婚等习俗,以及寡妇再婚和少数自由择配的婚姻现象,这将有助于我们更全面地认识和了解中国婚俗文化在发展中的继承和演变,以及中国民族文化在人类历史文明中的地位和价值。

Zuozhuan,not only has a very high historical and literary value, but also is rich in precious folklore materials. A systematic combing of the marriages of Zhou Dynasty and all the vassal states recorded in Zuozhuan , can restore all kinds of marriage customs during the Spring and Autumn Period, such as ＂six ritual＂ marriage procedures, customs before and after the marriage, marrying nobody with the same family names, as well as the remarriage of widows and a few free marriages of one＇s own choices. This will help us more fully understand the inheritance and evolution of the Chinese marriage culture , and the status and value of the Chinese culture in hu- man history.
