The article summarizes various common design and calculation methods of box girder bridge system in the present bridge engineering, studies and compares the mentioned design methods in detail,concludes the advantages and disadvantages of common design and calculation methods of the multi-box-cell and single-box single-cell continuous box girder. On this basis, the design method suitable for the wide box girder bridge is proposed.
