摘要
本文从《英语类专业本科教学质量国家标准》(以下简称《国标》)的统一性和"校标"的多样性之间对立统一的关系开展分析,提出"校标"能力项设计的基本原则,并尝试将英语类专业人才培养的"能力"要求进一步细化和重组,构造出有一定普适性的"校标"能力设计图——包含"树根""树干""主枝"和"树冠"四部分的能力结构树。本文认为,"校标"的能力项设计须针对国家、社会和学生的中长期及短期需求,兼顾地域特色、学校优势和生源特点,以"校标"体现特色,在强调"树根"和"树干"基本能力的同时,突显"主枝"和"树冠"两部分特色能力的培养,走特色发展之路。
National Quality Criteria for Teaching Undergraduate English Majors(hereinafter referred to as National Quality Criteria) provides specifications for the quality teaching and talent cultivation of English programmes in China.The successful implementation of the National Quality Criteria depends on the formulation of Collegial Standards of Teaching Quality for Undergraduate English Majors(hereinafter referred to as University Standards).This paper analyses the uniformity and diversity between the National Quality Criteria and Collegial Quality Criteria, and hence puts forward the principles for designing Collegial Quality Criteria: exceeding though based on the National Quality Criteria and pursuing one's advantages. With reference to the existing curriculum and academic reflection,summary and outlook in the English education circle, as well as to the holistic education concept and practice, this paper tries to construct generalizable design of Collegial Quality Criteria through further refinement and reorganization of the competency requirements of the specifications for English Majors, which shapes the "root","trunk", "branches" and "canopy" of the tree of competencies. It further probes into the ways of developing a university's unique advantages reflected by competency design in meeting future demands of the nation, society and students.
