This paper expounds the importance of document packaging,and explores the various issues that document packaging needs to face. From the following aspects, i. e. packaging and compressing method, metadata identification, document signature, document encryption etc., the relevant technical specifications are discussed. Packaging methods adopted by mainstream document formats are analyzed. Finally,suggestions on the document packaging standardization are proposed.
