昆曲《水浒记》改编自明代小说《水浒传》。该剧围绕阎婆息描写了两段"爱情故事",一是和宋江,一是和张文远,通过这两段被异化的爱情,展示了当时底层女性的生存困境以及爱情选择的无奈。阎婆息被异化成了商品,没有选择权,两性关系的不平等,价值取向偏向于社会价值的实现,个人情感被压抑等原因造成了阎婆息的爱情悲剧。

Kunqu Opera Water Margin was adapted from the novel Water Margin written in the Ming dynasty. There were two love stories involving Yan Poxi, one was between Yan and Song Jiang, the other was between Yah and Zhang Wenyuan. However, the two love stories were alienated for the reason that the women were put in survival dilemma in that age, who were helpless in choice when faced with love. Having been alienated into a commodity, Yan Poxi had no fight of choice and suffered gender inequality. The causes of Yan Poxi＇s tragic love also included that value orientation was biased towards the realization of social values, and personal feelings were suppressed.
