Adaptability of the Big Five Personality from the Perspective of Evolutionary Psychology

本研究试图将从进化心理学视角对大五人格的起源提供一种可能的解释。进化心理学将适应作为解释心理起源的重要概念,认为大五人格受进化规律制约,是自然选择的产物,对提高人类生存和繁殖的适应性有重要价值。适应是相对的而非绝对的,大五人格的每一特质在提高某方面适应性的同时在其他方面也会有相应的成本。为达到最大的适应性,需根据适应性问题的不同,对各特质的适应性收益和成本进行权衡。

This paper attempts to provide a possible explanation for the origin of the big five personality from the perspective of evolutionary psychology.Evolutionary psychology with adaptation is an important concept to explain the origin of Psychology.It is believed that the big five personality is conditioned by evolutionary laws,which is the product of the natural selection,and is of great value to improve the adaptability of human survival and reproduction.Adaptation is relative rather than absolute,and each of the big five personality traits improves certain aspect of adaptability with corresponding costs in return.In order to achieve the greatest adaptability,it＇s necessary to balance benefits of adaptability and their costs,according to the adaptability of problems.
