摘要
国内公安院校专门用途英语(ESP)教材一般称为警务英语教材,基本以自编为主。《实用警务英语》是基础阶段的ESP教材,适于公安院校多专业学习者。研究对教材使用者进行问卷调查并收集反馈意见。研究发现,警务英语教材的"实用性"、"交际性"、"专业性"及满足学习者的目标需求与学习需求至关重要。此外,任务设计及专业词汇呈现的"多样性"、以及教材的"多模态性"也是学习者关注的重点。由此,提出警务英语教材编写中需考虑的因素,以期对进一步完善公安院校ESP教材评估与编写提供实践依据。
School-based material Practical English for Police,is a kind of ESP materials,based on the theory of needs analysis,is geared to learners of different majors in police colleges. The questionnaire survey and feedback from the users have been conducted. The findings show that it is of vital importance for policing English materials to have the " practical", " communicative" and " professional" nature,and to meet the needs of learners. Furthermore,there still exist some deficiencies such as the " diversity" of tasks and presentation of professional vocabulary,etc. And on the basis of study,some proposals to be considered in the process of compiling policing English materials are put forward,attempting to provide practical evidence in improving the policing English teaching material development.
