梳理中国近现代高等教育发展的历程,能清楚地看到两大脉络:近代高等教育和红色高等教育。这两大脉络都为民族独立解放和国家繁荣富强作出了巨大贡献,都对新中国高等教育体系的形成产生了巨大影响。创建于陕北公学的中国人民大学,80年来在中国共产党的领导下,扎根中国大地,走出了一条独具特色的发展之路。历史发展表明,我们党不仅能够创办出色的大学,而且党的领导是建设"双一流"的根本保证。

The development of modern higher education in China features two well-defined veins： modem higher education and red higher education. The two veins have made great contributions to the independence, emancipation, and prosperity of China, and imposed huge influence on the establishment of the higher education system in the new China. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, Renmin University of China, incarnated from Shanbei Public School, has walked a way of Chinese characteristics over the past 80 years. History has proved that the Communist Party of China is capable of building excellent universities, the party＇s leadership is the fundamental guarantee of establishing first-class universities and disciplines.
