摘要
目前,在我国基础教育阶段,中小学生的基础英语水平已经日渐提高,同时我国各高校日益重视教师海外学习的经历,并加大对教师海外学习培训的投入,这使得大学英语转向ESP有了充分的可行性。另一方面,通过定量和定性调查证明,英语已经成为一种国际通用语,大学生能将英语作为一种工具用在将来的工作科研当中,已成为大学英语转向ESP的一种必要的条件。
At present, in elementary education, English level of primary and middle school students has improved greatly. In addi-tion, colleges and universities in China attach increasing importance to overseas learning experiences of teachers and invest more in o-verseas training of teachers. All these make it feasible for the shift fromgeneral English in college to ESP. Furthermore, through quan-titative and qualitative research, Englishi has become a global language. It becomes a necessary condition for college students to use English as a tool in future work or research.
