Objective:To explore the clinical significance of controlling diet and body weight during pregnancy in the prevention of macrosomia.Methods:80 cases of pregnant women treated in a hospital were selected as the research object and divided into research group and control group by using the method of random number table, with 40 cases in each group. In the control group, diet and weight control measures were not given according to the conventional way,and the research group was given reasonable diet guidance and weight control during pregnancy, then the pregnancy outcomes of pregnant women of two groups were observed and compared. Results:The prenatal weight gain and prenatal BMI increase in the research group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05);The incidence of cesarean section and macrosomia in the research group were 17.50% and 5% respectively, and the incidence of cesarean section and macrosomia in the control group were 37.50% and 20% respectively. The incidence of cesarean section and macrosomia of research group were significantly lower than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Diet guidance and weight control measures for pregnant women during perinatal period can effectively prevent macrosomia and have high clinical value.
