摘要 中国动画起步于20世纪20年代中期,在50至80年代期间曾经有过"中国学派"的辉煌。进入新世纪以后,中国动画"中国学派"辉煌不再,动画作品虽多但得到观众认可的极少,尽管政府大力扶持而动画产业却差强人意。这其中的原因既有受众定位的失误,又有动画特征的缺失,还有创作与接受的错位。因此,有了如下三问三答:一、当我们谈论动画时,我们在谈论什么?就定位和观念而言,动画是对应于真人影视的虚拟艺术,而不是对应于成人影视的少儿艺术。居于前者才能做成大产业、成就大艺术、具有大前途。二、新世纪动画艺术应该具备哪些特征?就特征而言,新世纪动画最重要的创作特征有两个:一个是漫画性,一个是数字化。中国动画理应将传统与现代结合、民族与世界结合、艺术与技术结合、审美与娱乐结合,用漫画性和数字化改造提升和创新"中国学派",打造真正属于新世纪的"新中国学派"。三、中国动画产业距离美、日还有多远?就距离而言,美国、日本动画艺术成熟、产业强大,而中国动画还远远没有做成应该成为的"支柱产业"。 Chinese animation was initiated in the middle of the 1920 s and it enjoyed a prosperity of"Chinese School"from the 1950 s to the 1980 s. However,the prosperity of "Chinese School"decreased in the new century. While there are a large number of animations,only a small number of them are acknowledged by the audiences. Although the governmental support is strong,the animation industry is barely satisfactory. There are several reasons behind these issues: mis-targeting of audiences,missing characteristics of animation and the disconnection of creation and acceptance. Therefore,there are three questions and three answers.First,when we are talking about animation,what are we talking about? As far as the targeting and concept are concerned,animation is a virtual art corresponding to the films and television of real people,rather than a children art corresponding to adult films and televisions. The former decides whether or not animation can be made into a grand industry and grand art with a grand prosperity. Second,what are the characteristics that animation in the new century should have? In terms of characteristics,there are two characteristics that the creation of animation in the new century should have: the first is caricature characteristic and the second is digitization. Chinese animation should combine tradition and modernity,ethnicity and the world,art and technology and,aesthetics and entertainment,using caricature characteristic and digitization to transfer,upgrade and create new "Chinese School",as well as making a "New Chinese School"that belongs to the new century. Third,how far is Chinese animation away from that in the US and Japan? In terms of distance,animations in the US and Japan are mature and strong while that in China has not yet become a "pillar industry"that it should have been.
