On November 8, 2017, U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing, starting his state visit to China. The three-day trip is Trump's first visit to China since he assumed the presidency in January this year. Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted a grand welcoming ceremony for President Trump in front of the East Gate of the Great Hall of the People. Moreover, President Trump has brought more than two dozen captains of US industry with him on this trip, and deals worth a total of 253.5 billion US dollars have been agreed, which sets a record for China-US trade relations.
