Focus on the National Imagination of the Problems in China's Modernization——A Comment on Wu Xiang-yu's Book On the Chinese Images in Lu Xun's Novels

吴翔宇教授的专著《鲁迅小说的中国形象研究》,立足于现代中国的社会问题,集中梳理鲁迅想象民族国家的文化语境、动机和策略,营构"老中国""未来中国""文明中国"等形象谱系,深入揭示鲁迅小说内蕴的家国意象及鲁迅基于中国现代进程所生成的思想文化体系,为鲁迅研究提供新的研究视角。

Professor Wu Xiang-yu's book On the Chinese Images in Lu Xun's Novels is based on the social problems of modern China. It concentrates on the cultural context,motivation and strategy of Lu Xun's imagination of the national state,constructs the image pedigree of 'old China','future China'and'civilized China'and reveals deeply the connotation of the national images in Lu Xun's novels and his ideological and cultural system based on China's modernization. Hence,it provides a new perspective for the study of Lu Xun.
