Starting with De Kooning’s Women series, this paper demonstrates his unique aesthetic cognition and formal language, along with a description of his romantic experiences. In De Kooning’s paintings in the Women series, viewers can fnd the boldness of the colors and the wildness and vigor of lines. The female images are exaggerated and distorted under the action of subconsciousness. Women now are no longer beautiful or elegant; they become restless. This inner trueness endows De Kooning’s paintings with pioneering signifcance.
