Chain guild unit is a special outftting for hydraulic towing winch to handle anchor chain. Based on the production design and construction of AHTS, this paper describes the intent of design for the chain guild unit, all restrictions conditions, how the unit ensures the anchor chain keep going on the track and the main attentions for the manufacture.
