需求分析在大学英语教学中起着重要作用,它是开展英语教学的首要条件,是英语课程设计的基础,也是教师组织教学、决定教学方法和教学评估的依据。当今,社会对大学毕业生不断提出新的要求,学生对英语教学的需求也呈多元化和专业化,仅仅提高学生的英语语言技能已不能满足他们的需求。以产出为导向的教学模式和ESP教学模式的结合既能提高学生的英语语言技能又能提高学生的专业技能。

Needs analysis plays an important role in the college English teaching. It is the founda-tion of course design, the basis of teaching organization, teaching method application and assessment ofteaching. Because of the varied new requirements from the society and the diversified and specializedneeds from the students, it is not enough to satisfy their needs by only improving their language skills.The combination of production-oriented teaching mode and ESP teaching mode can not only improvethe students' language skills but their professional skills.
