Combining the importance with the teaching present situation of metallography experimental technology course, the teaching method has been explored and practiced through encouraging the students of metal materials to participate in the metallographic competition. Through the teaching reform, the interests of students to learn the metallographic knowledge and skill were stimulated, the ability of students to practice and innovate was improved, and the teaching quality of undergraduate was promoted.
