维宝西北铅锌矿与维宝铅锌矿在矿床成因上一致,矿体及其围岩原岩为粉砂岩、细凝灰岩,属非饥饿盆地的沉积产物,其层纹状结构反映了热水沉积的特征,其中形成的矽卡岩化形成于原岩成岩后的静压力环境,矽卡岩矿物以及金属矿物粒度均较小,也反映了热水沉积的特征。
