AvitalSheffer，这位在以色列长大，长期住在澳大利亚的艺术家，在很长的一段时间里，她的创作主题都是围绕着中东的文化遗产向前发展，从历史到设计，从过去到现在。那些偌大的水壶、花瓶或者罐子给人的印象有些陈旧而古老，就好像出土于某个从未被开发的考古现场，这是一个深深根植于中世纪几个世纪以来的文化传统。她的陶艺创作虽然诉说着古老的文明，但是它们特殊的形式与精致的表面装饰，又将它们牢靠地锁定在当代陶艺的范畴。这些陶瓷器皿是文化和历史的混合体，从细颈土罐曲线到古典的伊斯兰圆顶，每件作品都在中东的遗产中占有着一席之地。

Avital Sheffer grew up in Israel and then lived in Australia for a long time. For that reason, her creative themes revolve around the cultural heritage of the Middle East. From history to design, from past to present. Those huge pots, vases or jars give people some impression of old. It looks like that they are unearthed in an archaeological scene that has never been developed. This is a cultural tradition deeply rooted in the medieval centuries. Her pottery creation, while telling the ancient civilization, their special form with exquisite surface decoration however firmly lock themselves in the scope of contemporary Ceramic Art. These ceramic wares are a mixture of culture and history. From the thin clay cans curve to the classical Islamic dome, each piece of work do have the possession of a place in the Middle East.
