ON October 18, the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China （CPC）,the most significant five-yearly CPC con- gress, was officially convened. The week-long event attracted both national and worldwide at- tention, and reflected the most recent achievements since the 18th National Congress held in 2012. The development of China was evaluated; and the con- gress refined and envisaged further modernizations.
