Anti-inflammatory effect of aralosides

龙牙楤木总甙(As)显著抑制大鼠角叉菜胶、甲醛、热烫、PGE_2和组胺性足肿胀。对制霉菌素、5-HT引起大鼠足肿胀有一定抑制作用。抑制巴豆油气囊肿渗出和肉茅组织增生,抑制PGE_2、组胺、5-HT引起的毛细血管通透性增加。抑制白细胞游走,并能提高清除自由基的能力。其抗炎作用不依赖于垂体-肾上腺皮质系统,但对肾上腺皮质有一定刺激作用。

Aralosides was extracted from the bark of stem and root of Aralia elata (Miq) Seem. We have studied the anti-inflammatory effect of aralosides.It suppressed significantly the swelling of rat hind paw induced by carrageenin in both intact and adrenalectomized rats, the swelling induced by PGE2, histamine, 5-HT, formaldehyde and mycostatin and the scald oedema induced by scalding rat's hind paw. Aralosides had marked inhibitory effect on the increas sed permeability of capillaries caused by id PGE2, histamine, 5-HT, on the proliferation of granulation and exudation of air granuloma induced by croton oiland on the leukocytic migratory response.The content of PGE2, histamine and acid phosphatase in the inflammatory exudate formed by carrageenin, dextran and mycostatin was decreased markedly by ig aralosides. The extract decreased obviously the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) in hepatic tissue of intoxicated mice induced by alcohol and increased noticeably the activity of catalase (CAT) in hepatic tissue of mice and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in serum of rats.
